iTunes Doesn’t Less Than Three the Palm Pre

Sad Palm PreSo many of you were probably asked to download version 8.2.1 of iTunes today which, is bad news if you’re a Pre owner.  For you see, Apple having made a passive-aggressive press statement about 3rd party devices syncing with iTunes went ahead and dropped the bomb yesterday effectively disabling the Palm Pre’s syncing ability with iTunes. It’s not like there aren’t other ways to get music on there, but it’s still kind of a dick move.  You can read more about it over at Gearlog, but how long do you guys give it before Palm releases a new update to circumvent this?

Thanks again, Steve Jobs! Way to suck a fat one! F#ck yeah that's a dick move, and I don't even own a Pre. Though admittedly, I do own a Treo 755P, which has no issues with music. Period. That aside, it's a pretty shitty move from Apple; much like MOST of the things they do. I have an iPod Touch too, so yeah, I can still judge them. It's crap like this that doesn't make me trust pretty much anything Apple does. Go ahead Apple... alienate the consumer.... great move...

@azazel Yeah, I don't have anything to worry about being an iPhone user and all, but it does suck for people who are really comfortable with iTunes for their music management. I mean, I know Apple has a reputation for being kind of closed off in regards to 3rd parties, but as freely available as iTunes is I'd think they'd want to encourage people to use it regardless of the device.
