Alright, so this is truly a quick ‘n dirty post, but again, hopefully some of you that are new to OS X will find this useful if you’re transitioning from Windows.  When I first started using a Mac again I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to delete a file using the del key on my keyboard.  At first I thought it might be a problem with the keyboard, but then after a quick search I found the answer to my problem- you have to hit del in conjunction with the command key.  I found this to be just slightly unintuitive but it’s not a huge deal once you get used to it.  Later this week I’ll do a post with a listing of commonly used mac shortcuts as well to help out anybody struggling with how to navigate the OS faster.
