Being a geek does not mean you strictly revolve around videogames and technology. Being a geek is about having a passion or a love for an outlet in your life, whatever you choose. From film to sports, stamps to cards, you can geek out on anything! Now there are many people that geek out on horror films, from collecting to cos-playing. My question to you is: do you have the passion and love to make your own horror films?
I have known the men and women of Team Necro for quite a few years now and was not surprised at all to learn that they were making their own horror film. The first project from Team Necro was Necrogirls Magazine, a horror based magazine that focused on thematic pictures of alternative models and photographers from all over the country. After several successful issues Team Necro announced the next project would be a live action short called The Cannibllies. Team Necro co-leader Adam Rodger told me “when we were picking a theme, knowing we had zero budget, two themes kept coming up: hillbillies and cannibles. So, we made a hillbilly cannibal film.”
In filming, the team realized that this was what they were suppose to be doing all along. This naturally lead to a sequel and Cannibillies 2 is currently filming while the first film is still in the editing process. Over the next few weeks I will be updating you on the editing and film process of the two cannibillies films as Team Necro has invited me to the filming locations and given me behind the scenes access. As I show you how Team Necro geeks out over Horror films. If you have any questions you would like to ask the crew and cast leave a comment and I will do my best to get them answered for you. Stay tuned to Geekspodcast for the latest news on all things cannibillies and all other geek related news.
