An Introduction to Comikaze 2011!

Going to Comikaze in Los Angeles was not a very difficult decision for me, despite that it’s over 2 hours away(I live in San Diego). For one, my friend whom I met at SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) last summer wanted to go there and I wanted to hang out with her again since we live so far from each other. So we agreed that Comikaze would be cool venue to attend.

So what is Comikaze? It’s a very diverse convention that caters to multiple genres so lot of different fans can come to Comikaze and have a good time. It was created when LA Comic Con got cancelled last August so it’s insane how they pulled this off in such a short period with a long list of awesome guests!  For example, Elvira made her last appearance at a major con in that legendary costume. When I was in the dealers hall and my jaw dropped to the floor because on account of the insanely long line. Also attending was Stan Lee! I have seen a lot of Stan Lee and he was, predictably, very well received.

$100 for a Final Fantasy XIII Outfit? Yes, please

SerahApparently Shimamura, a Japanese retailer, put together an ad starring Serah, one of the female characters from Final Fantasy XIII. It offered customers all of the clothes that comprised her totally wicked outfit. The best part is it’s only $100 USD for the entire get-up, which IMHO is totally worth it (I love me some skirts and vests!).

You can look at the whole Kotaku article here.
