Heavy Rain Demo Impressions

Today I downloaded the Heavy Rain demo for PS3 and figured I’d finally take a peak at Quantic Dream’s next outing.  the download took a bit and the install took around 20 minutes or so, but after the wait I was immediately plunged into a portion of what will be a very, very immersive environment. Heavy Rain is the story of a fictional serial murderer, the Origami Killer.  4 strangers come together in this dark mystery, their stories intermingling with one another as you decide their fate through a myriad of forks in the plot.  Playing less like a conventional game and more like a choose your own adventure book, I was familiar with this type of game after much enjoying QD’s previous outing, Indigo Prophecy.

5 Things I Wish I’d Seen at E3

Maybe next year guys... *sniff*As I mentioned before, Nicole and I will be re-capping everything we found awesome about this year’s E3 on tomorrow night’s show, but I’d like to talk a little bit about what should have been at E3.  2009 was a return to form from the bastardized E3 we suffered some years ago, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that the following should’ve made a grand appearance to really push the show over the top.

Infamous Demo Impressions

It's electric!Having complained on our last podcast about Sony’s lack of exclusive games, Nicole and I had the good fortune to check out a demo of Infamous
before its released this Tuesday. While at first I was a bit skeptical, I walked away from the game yearning for more and was disappointed I couldn’t pick it up today. Hit the jump for 5 of  my initial impressions of the demo.

Punch-Out!! 5 of my First Impressions

There's no way he'd be in it, but that'd be a pretty disturbing finishing move...As many of you know, Punch-Out!! came out today after being in retirement for quite some time.  Little Mac is back with a slew of his old rivals and a few new ones to keep him on his toes as he fights his way to the top.  Naturally I was more than thrilled with this and got home from work as quick as I could so I could go snag a copy at my local, anonymous, super game store.  So how does it stack up against its predecessors?  Read on and I’ll let you know some initial impressions I’ve had and what you’ve got to look forward to as Doc Louis whips Mac into shape for the third time.
