Just so you are all aware, I absolutely love The Editing Room. Their site consistently offers hilarious cut-down versions of the scripts of popular movies and their latest ripping apart of New Moon is no exception. I’m not sure how fond Nicole will be, but I definitely found it to be pretty accurate. It’s a fun read if you’ve got a few minutes to kill and if you’ve already seen New Moon it’s hilarious. As Nicole pointed out a few days ago, we went to the midnight launch of New Moon the other day. Having not read the books, I wasn’t overly thrilled at the prospect of going, but Nicole loves the series and since I love Nicole I did the nice boyfriend thing and went with her to the midnight launch. Without being a cynical jerk and making off-handed comments about a throng of screaming 12 year olds, can I offer an unbiased review of the film? Read on to find out.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Kevin Smith, but almost moreso of his public speaking than his actual films after seeing An Evening with Kevin Smith. Having also seen New Moon I can say that Kevin’s theater experience was precisely like mine, having most of the mushy parts of the flick drowned out by the shrill piercing that is a carpet-laden room filled with the swooning cries of a few hundred tween girls. Anyways, the below video from the San Diego Comic Con pretty much hits the nail on the head.
…yep. You’d think this one would be completely for me, but deep down I think Josh may even be more excited than I am. The second movie of the Twilight series, New Moon, debuts today and nine of us are going to be waiting in line eagerly around 10PM at Polaris’ Rave Theater. If I’m lucky I’ll convince Josh to let me bring the video cam and we’ll take some video of all the teenagers (and then us) anticipating some hot vampire action. Stay tuned, we’ll be doing reviews for this cinematic masterpiece within a couple of days!
I know what you’re thinking, and you can keep your lips sealed!! But for all of us cultured folk, you’ll be excited to know the official full length New Moon trailer is out and can be viewed here. The second installment of Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight series will be in theaters on November 20th of this year (just in time for my birthday!).
