While checking out Destructoid, I came across this tidbit of information regarding the follow-up to one of my favorite games for PS2, Red Faction from 2001. I never found the original’s story to be that interesting, but I had a blast playing through it on account of what they then termed ‘geo-mod’ technology, which would allow you to dynamically blast away walls and chunks of the terrain with rockets, explosions, and the like. After hearing that they were doing one for this generation it more than piqued my interested on account of the physics that current generation consoles are capable of displaying. The demo comes out next week for the PS3 and 360 on May 21st.
