Because Nicole and I are going to podcast tomorrow and I don’t have anything terribly interesting to say, I thought I’d let you all know that Daft Punk will be in the forthcoming DJ Hero. Initially I wasn’t overly excited for this game, but their presence has certainly piqued my interest and the thought of mastering another rhythm game has more than enticed me. You can read more about it over at Destructoid, but how many of you are looking forward to this?
Edit: Also, while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea this always makes me smile-
So while Nicole and I were at Myrtle Beach The Beatles: Rock Band made its debut without us. Nicole was positively rabid about playing it and I had high hopes for the game after reading interviews and updates for months about all of the care that had gone into preserving it as a grand entry into The Beatles legacy. So, as soon as we got back we ran down to Gamestop and picked up our pre-order. While I can’t speak for Nicole, here are 5 observations about The Beatles: Rock Band.
While many of you 360 owners have already had your way with the most excellent Braid, now PS3 owners will have the same privilege with the game finally getting rated for release. You can read more about it over at
So recently I did a little bit of complaining about Sony on Episode 2 regarding their releasing a slim line PS3, claiming they should be concentrating on producing high-quality exclusive titles instead of another pointless hardware upgrade. Well, I very shortly thereafter ate my words upon learning Infamous had just been released. Nicole and I picked it up at Gamestop a few days later and have so far invested around 10 hours in it and ya know what? It’s fantastic. Read on for the full review.
Having complained on our last
I didn’t have a lot to do this weekend, so I thought I’d rent a game to get some quick achievement points. As fate would have it (bad pun intended), I opted for Wanted: Weapons of Fate. While initially I didn’t plan to actually finish the game, it ended up being far shorter than I’d expected- even by movie game standards. However, having now played it to completion, I’m confident in saying while it’s not the best game adaptation of a film I’ve ever seen, it’s certainly not the worst.
While checking out
Just in case anyone else was upset and disturbed (grin) by the news that Ghostbusters would be a timed, PS3-exclusive you can put those fears to rest! That is, unless you’re European, where it actually still is a timed exclusive. I probably should have made that a bit clearer, but it’s not as if Europe isn’t used to getting screwed over by the gaming industry. You can get the full scoop over at
