After waiting for nearly a month and a half, the DLC you got for free for pre-ordering the Beatles’ Rock Band at Gamestop is available. However, this is only if the three songs you chose from the list available were from the Abbey Road album. If you’re like me and picked some songs from Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, we have to wait until some TBA time in November to get our songs (we so should have picked ‘Maxwell’s Silver Hammer’!). All You Need Is Love
Last month Rock Band released The Beatles: RB, and to compete Guitar Hero spit out their fifth big sequel. So like me, you may be wondering: who sold more copies?
The winner goes to Rock Band, who sold +462,000 copies just between the Wii and Xbox version (they sold enough titles to make it to #2 on the top 10 September sales). Guitar Hero 5 sold 210,800 copies on the Xbox alone last month, whereas The Beatles sold 254,000 Xbox copies.
Harmonix/Apple Corps/MTV Games then went on to add that Guitar Hero 5 even came out on an additional platform (PlayStation 2), but still The Beatles outsold GH. In your face, Activision.
