Silent Hill Fan Film is Beautiful and Disturbing

I ran across this at Destructoid today and thought it was more than worth posting.  Nicole and I are huge fans of the series and often talk about how cool it would be to explore a real-life version of Silent Hill.  Well, it’d be cool for an hour or so before the raw terror of the place sets in I suppose, but this fan creation is probably the closest we’ll get.  Check it out!

Mortal Kombat’s Komeback

Cheesy I know, but I can’t help but add K to everything when it comes to MK.  The following trailer shows what may be one of the most appropriate crossover marketing efforts ever.  I’m more than a little hot and bothered by the newest Mortal Kombat and I’ll explain that in a future post, but for now just check out this trailer.  Also, if you’re thirsting for some actual gameplay from the latest Mortal Kombat those are certainly available.

This Super Clip is Intriguing Me

Apparently Super is a new comic book (kinda) movie starring Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page that I had absolutely no idea existed.  A friend turned me onto the clip below and while it feels like it’s in the same vein as Kick-Ass initially, it’s far, far darker.  Discretion advised for the squeamish and the non-squeamish should eat this up.  Enjoy!

New 10-Minute Bioshock Infinite Trailer is Bioshocky

Now that we’re all aware of what 2K’s next big thing is, it’s time for a new trailer!  Watching the below it’s easy to see that while the next Bioshock installment isn’t taking place in the haunting tunnels of Rapture, it most certainly does capture the feel of Bioshock.  By that I mean the gameplay isn’t just familiar, but appears improved and refined.  The environment too certainly harkens back to the propoganda-laden corridors of Rapture with its overtones of indoctrination.

Remember though- this is early footage.  So, as good as it looks now I can only imagine what will be like when it finally see the light of day in 2010, though hopefully they’ll bump that up and we might see it in time for next Christmas.  Either way, it’s very exciting stuff.

Gears of War 3: Ashes to Ashes

It just occurred to me that I neglected to post about the Gears of War 3 Announcement Trailer.  I’ve posted it below for your viewing pleasure, but to say I’m excited about it would be a gross understatement.  Its particular brand of high-octane gameplay, memorable characters, and hilarious voice acting made me an instant fan, even of the story was a bit ho-hum in places.  Epic has always produced, well, epic trailers for the Gears of War series and the below is no exception.

Iron Man 2 Trailer #2

Now, I’m not in the habit of spoiling things per se, but I will only use the image on the left as a very small hint of things to come in Iron Man 2.  Many of you are already aware of some modifications to the original Iron Man design we’ve already seen and many more of you may already be intimately familiar with the veritable armory of models that Tony has crafted over the years.  However, the first person to give me the name of the armor on the left (and appearing in the new trailer below) will win ALL of my internets for the week.  Sure, it may be an obscure bit of trivia, but I always thought the name was totally badass.  Check out the latest trailer from Marvel after the jump!
